An Inspiring Celebration to Kick Off Plymouth’s Thanksgiving Weekend

One of the best weekend’s in the South Shore is upon us!

Kicking off the Thanksgiving season is a weekend filled with luminary celebrations, a Main Street festival, New England’s very own Food Festival and an award winning Thanksgiving parade. Visitors from across the country will land in Plymouth this week to take part in a fun-filled weekend best fit for America’s Hometown. 101212

It all begins Friday with a beautiful luminary celebration brought to us by the students of Plymouth South High School. One World One Light was created to bring awareness and donations to an incredible organization right here in Plymouth – The Children’s Bereavement Support Program of Cranberry Hospice. The wonderful people of Cranberry Hospice offer activities, support, and an entire community for children to turn to who have experienced tragic loss; something that is near and dear to Plymouth South’s own, Carly Bishop, who is spearheading the event.

A very fitting celebration for the Cranberry Hospice, as “a luminary” is a person who is an inspiration to others. Luminaries will fill the Plimoth Grist Mill on Friday evening. They can be purchased at various locations in downtown Plymouth or at the event starting at 6:30pm. ALANTE is proud to be the sponsor of this event!

Start the weekend festivities off with the luminary walk through Plimoth Grist Mill, followed by a street festival in downtown Plymouth with live music and art!

For more information on One World One Light and where to purchase your luminary, visit their website or Facebook Page.

And mark your calendars for this weekend’s Thanksgiving celebration with a full schedule of events here!
